Below you will find a list of frequently asked questions about our mountain biking in the Alps holidays with MTB Verbier. If you can′t find your question in the list please feel free to contact us and will be glad to provide additional info about our mountain bike holidays.

-    Is the mountain bike riding any good?
Are you kidding, it′s EPIC, big mountain riding!!!

-    What is the mtb riding really like?
We are surrounded by big mountains and this gives unlimited variation in types of trails. From the manmade Verbier bike park with perfect berms and drops to rocky and tough trails that might involve some hiking to flowing trails trough the woods. The big bonus to epic riding are the views over snow capped peaks and riding trough Swiss mountain villages with their small streets and centuries old wooden houses.

-    What type of riders come on MTB Verbier Mountain bike holidays?
Our mountain biking the Alps holidays are suitable for all mountain biking enthusiasts as we will ride in different groups. We offer cross-country, freeride and downhill type of riding. We never combine XC and Downhill riders in one group. Contact MTB Verbier to discuss the type of riding you prefer and the best time to join us.

-    How many people will ride in a group?
We keep our group sizes to a maximum of 7 guests to 1 mountain bike guide.

-    Are body armour and a full face helmet necessary?
In our opinion it is always good to have some protection but this depends on the type of riding we do. On cross country mountain bike rides a regular mountain bike helmet is ok but if we are riding mostly downhill, with the use of the lifts, a full face helmet and pads are recommended. Especially when you have protective gear with you. It′s a bit silly to fall of your bike and hurt yourself when you carry protection in your backpack or have them at the lodge. Pads can be rented from a few Verbier Mountain Bike shops in town if you do not have your own.

-    Can I hire a mountain bike in Verbier or should I bring my own?
We do have a selection of mountain bikes for hire ourselves and work we can organise bike hire through a few partner shops as well. We can reserve a mountain bike for you and will see to get the best standard available but we can not be held responsibly if the mtb bike does not deliver what you expected of it.
